for Canon EOS 1D

I  purchased this slingbag in hopes for a lighter more convenient bag for walkabouts.

The tall Canon EOS 1D mk II body does fit.. albeit a little tight but acceptable.
I can fit my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and my Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM IS or Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM just fine

Standard set up with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM mounted, the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 SP AF Macro XR Di LD-IF to the left, and flash and "stuff" to the right (bottom). It's a snug fit but doesn't seem to strain the zip at all.

There's plenty of space in this bag to carry a couple of extra lens but this setup gives me somewhere to put the 70-200 when it isn't mounted.

Well I decided to order this case despite being a sling. Holding a sling bag is still extremely weird for me, but it does the job better than anything else I saw out there.

I can't fit the hood on my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM reversed while the lens is on, so I just waste a pocket by keeping it in there. When my other lens is on, the 24-105 fits in the same pocket as the hood. Memory cards, little items fit on the inside of the flap. Extra batteries, cloths, etc... all fit in an external pocket, or the big pocket on the left. (in the photo)

I can actually fit my G2 in that pocket comfortably as well. I carry my filters/macros in hard cases, and I like having my battery charger in my case as well when I travel, and with the addition of the hood, I am really wasting a lot of space. I leave my 35-80 f/5.6 at home. (no need anymore)

Someone else could easily get 3 or 4 lenses and one on the camera in the bag. The flash could go in the upper pocket, and the filters could go in a filter case to the side of the camera. Oh yeah, plenty of space on both sides of the camera for small stuff too. Very easy to pull this in and out! I love this case!

by turning the velcro attached padding.  I can have access to all my gear through the side opening.  The way the bag is configured when purchased, only the camera (with attached lens) is accessible.  You would need to lay the bag down to change lenses. This seems counter to the point of the bag. 

By turning every thing I can access everything, changes lens, get to accesories, with out taking the bag off.

This bag is awful. Although it seems like a good idea, the bag is unbelievably uncomfortable to carry as soon as you put more than a couple of lenses in it. It has so many bad features it would impossible to list them all. The biggest problem with it is that it is uncomfortable to carry and, if you're not careful, your lenses fall out when you try to get to them! This bag is a good idea in principle, but in reality it just doesn't work. My advice is save your money and go and buy a Crumpler Daily - much better quality, much more practical and much more comfortable to carry!! (Not to mention much sexier!). Sorry Lowepro, but this one's a duff.

Likes about the bag:
On the plus side, the built in storm cover is good, the bag is well made (although not as well made as others for the price) and I like the memory card holder inside 

Dislikes about the bag:
My particular dislikes are:1) The way your camera sits in the side means that when you put the bag down on its back and open it, the camera can tend to fall out *SMASH* 2) My telephoto lens is not particularly long (about 18cm) and yet it is too tall to fit in the bag upright!! 3) When you swing the bag round to get the camera out it is ok, but if you try to get a lens out of the compartment you are in grave danger of the entire contents ending up on the floor *SMASH* 4) This bag is DEFINITELY not designed for women - the weight of the equipment and the position at which the straps go across your chest is very uncomfortable. The bag hangs horribly low on your back (I can't carry it for more than 5 mins without getting serious back ache) 5) If you're right-handed, it is impossible to carry this bag over one shoulder because of the shape/angle of the strap 6) The stupid triangular shaped compartment is useless and the pocket on the front is too small.

This is what I take with me to work everyday should I ever feel the need to tinker around with my camera at my cubicle during my lunch break. That's the nifty, a small rocket blower and my 430ex in the top row, and my 400D with the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 hood reversed. I figure I don't need much since I'm only going to work.
