I previously owned a Domke F2 and was very happy with it. I pushed it to its limit though as I 'm frequently under extreme weather conditions (cold / heat, wind, sand, humidity). Eventually all the metal pieces rusted and I was unhappy about not being able to zip the gear safely and hermetically in the bag. Buying the Billingham feels like upgrading from coach to first class (with the price tag too). You can feel the quality, all the way to the dividers which hold more firmly and feel stiffer than what I was used to. I just love this bag. It also holds my 15' Powerbook in its case and may fit a 17'. I'm using it as my carry-on luggage and keep pretty much everything I need in it. So, you get it, it's not the bag you I'll take for an afternoon stroll. It is huge; but it holds everything and my gear has never felt safer. If you have a fair amount of equipment, I suggest combining it with a lighter day bag, the 225 for instance. I went for the LowePro flipside 200, for those long days wandering around, it's good to have something that balances well on your back. thanks to Mathieu for review
