The zipped compartments at the front contain all the cables, a couple of filters, memory cards etc. and there ate two small pockets at the side for a mars bar and my ipod :) There's a largish compartment at the back which has two opposed zips - you can shove a tripod leg through these and carry a tripod horizontally although I need to add a clip of some sort to stop it sliding out (the larger versions of this bag have that clip already). I reckon a larger-sized Gorillapod would fit there without any hassle though. This is the smallest of crumpler's full photo backpacks but it takes (almost) all of my kit with ease. I really like the secure way it zips up so that it cannot be opened whilst being worn - makes me feel much happier when walking about in strange areas. The laptop bag also holds my MacBook quite happily.
