i've recieved this bag last monday but i have already left for NY that same morning. lucky me that a friend was also going to NY 2 days later and was able to bring the bag there for me. he said the bag felt like air with his 5d and 50 1.4 there and to my surprise, when i got it, i put it on with my 5d and 24-70 and it really did felt like i had nothing on my body. i've only had another sling pack in the past and that was the lowepro SS 200 so that's the only thing i can compare it to. first impressions. the bag looks ten times better than the lowepro. to me the lowepro was such a hideous bag to look at. its all aesthetic really but the incase bag had just a much nicer and cleaner look and feel to it. if u like the look of the incase laptop sling bags, u're gonna like this. here's a few pics. from the pics u can see that the construction of the bag is very well made just like their other incase bags. the fabric looks like it can hold up to some wear and tear without any problems. as u can see it also has a handle that u can carry it like a suitcase when u just need to do a quick pick up and go. there is a nice small slim external pocket for anything in need of quick access. mind u that this external pocket does not have any padding so anything important like filters or sunglasses will break if the bag gets hit or fall on that side. from left to right. there is an elastic mesh pocket that takes up about 1/3 or so and next to it just just a smaller pocket and next to that are 2 much smaller pockets for such things as pens or a lens pen. i've used the elastic pocket exclusively on my walks in NY since its was the biggest one. as u can see the interior is very spacious. there are 3 removable velcro inserts. 2 of which that has the bendy cover flap that u can see on the left side of the bag and the third is the one on the right and it has an elastic mesh pouch pocket sewn into it. on the right side of the bag there are also 3 elastic mesh pouches. i wish these were bigger so i can put some bigger items in there. right now it can fit some stuff such my sunpak rd2000 or battery charger in there and u can sorta see it in the picture. on the big flap side that zips the bag close u can see there is a zipper mesh pouch on that flap. there is a sewn divider on there so its actually 2 pouches in a sense. i kinda wish there no was divider so i fit bigger and longer things in there altho i have not really found a use of it right now due to some space issues which i will talk later. one camera setup. (actually its a 2 camera setup with just one body in it at the moment, [Wink] ) here is my 40d with 50 1.4 in the bag and on the far right is the 580ex2. with the one camera setup i can walk all day with it fine without any strain watsoever. this was what i did in NY but i had my 5d and 24-70 and 85 1.8. i walked for hours with no worries when i was there. the bag really did feel like it was nothing there. when i had my lowepro i always had to readjust for the weight because it just felt heavy and unnatural when i was wearing it. but it easily could have been me. maybe my left shoulder can handle weight better than my right? the sling part on this bag is the opposite of the lowepro as it is on the left shoulder and not the right like the lowepro. i do wish there was that second cross strap like on the lowepro since it would be nice for running with it on. its very sturdy when im walking but i do have to hold it down and to my hip when i have to run across the street or soemthing. 2 camera setup (sorry pic had to be taken with the phone since both bodies were in the bag. those other pics werent that great anyways. haha) i was very surprised that both bodies could fit in there with all that gear still. i have my 40d 50 1.4 on the left and 5d 24-70 w/hood on the right. to the right is my 580ex2 and sunpack rd2000. underneath the 2 bodies was my 85 1.8 w/hood. u can actually see it in the first pic of the interior of the bag. there's a lot of nooks and cranies in there to fit misc stuff. oh ok about the zipper pouch on the big flap. the reason i found it of no use at the moment because i cant put anything delicate in it and it seems like a really nice place for cards or filters. unfortunately i cant do that with this setup. the 5d and 24-70 is the limit of how long a lens on body will go and that starts to push up on the flap. if i try to force close that flap with a filter or cf card in there, something will definitely crack. u can just put like wires or watever non-delicate stuff in there. u can start to feel it with the 2 camera body setup but its still doesnt strain that much but also i havnt worn it that long with that setup. this bag is really only configurable to the point as to where u want to take out or leave in an insert. u cant move inserts closer or further away since the opposing velcro strips are just on specific points on the interior. its not like the crumpler bags where they can be moved to any point in the bag. i can see this being setup was a one camera bag for a big lens just as the 70-200 on body but i dont have one so i cant really show it. the buckle itself is large and strong eventho its made of plastic. i dont really see this thing breaking even with a full bag of gear.
