I purchased the Lowepro Fastpack 200 as I was looking for a backpack bag that would allow me access to remove and store my camera without having to stop, take off my backpack, set it down and unzip it, just to take out my camera/flash/ect. I originally was going to buy a Slingshot from Lowepro, but decided against it after trying one out at the store. The reasons for choosing the Fastpack over the Slingshot were: #1- I didn't like the idea of all the weight being on one strap and had read complaints regarding that online, #2- When I had the Slingshot on and tried to access the bag, it had to slide completely around and rested high on my chest. I felt as though I was having to reach UP and down into the bag and it felt very awkward. With the Fastpack, all I have to do is take my right arm out of the strap and the bag easily slides around on my left side, under my arm. As you can see in my pictures, it actually slides around so that the bag is out in front of me on my left side instead of directly upon my chest. After making a trip to the zoo, I found this bag very easy to use and it felt great on my back all day! Although the bag has less "camera/lens" storage than my Lowepro Mini Trekker, I did like the balance of storage that it did give me. The outside of the bag has several nice features including a mesh bag on the side for whatever, a Sliplock accessory attachment point on one shoulder strap and the other strap had a small pocket for an Ipod or cell phone. Overall, I really like the bag. I did not get the bigger bags because mainly, I didn't have a widescreen laptop (which the larger bags have a pocket for) and also I was trying to use this bag to force me to slim down on the equipment I carry! It is too bad it doesn't come with an weatherproof cover like the Slingshots do, but I'm not sure how much I'd really be using that anyways.
