Good backpack!
The construction of the bag is top notch, the zippers are smooth, and the straps are soft and comfortable and the hip belt really keeps it all secure. I really have no large complaints, personally I do not use the laptop sleeve very much, so it ends up just being extra padding for my back. When I was doing my search to replace the old Case Logic SLRC206 I had trouble finding some specs that could clearly state the biggest lens that could fit in this bag with a camera attached. Most of the advertising boasts that it'll hold a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (Nikon specs at 3.4"W x 8.1"L). However nowhere did anyone say they could fit anything bigger in. Luckily once I received my pack I was pleased to see that my D7100 mounted with my 300mm f/4 (Nikon specs at 3.5"W x 8.8"L) fit nice and snug and did not interfere in any way with the flap closing; still retaining the main selling point of the Fastpack series. Also it should be noted that the size specs I found on the Nikon website seem to be smaller by about a half inch than reality when measured to the mounting flange. And add about an inch to the specs for the length with a lens cap on the mounting flange as well. See the last 2 provided pictures. The 70-200 f/4 is listed at 3.1"W x 7.0"L when it is actually closer to 8"L with the cap. Anyways I hope this review can help anyone else who is looking for a prospective camera bag.
