I bought this one primarily to accommodate the 500/4 lens easily, but with time it became my primary backpack. I can load it with either 500mm + full set of big zooms, or 500/4+300/2.8. Don\'t be misled by the first photo, even in such config, the zipper closes really easily. Hint: you *do want* a LensCoat Hoodie for these big telephotos. Lens hood provided by Canon is not very good, difficult to put in/out and increases the diameter significantly... or at least enough to make the fit *really* tight. Harness is just perfect, much better than my Nature Trekker, better fit for a tall person. Waist belt is solid and soft, doesn't feel bad even after prolonged carrying. However, the chest strap could allow much more length adjustment - even at the most shortened position, I find it still too long for my needs. I miss the front pocket I have in Mini Trekker. As opposed to Nature Trekker, this backpack is not carry-on sized anyway, so Lowepro could add this easily. Main zipper is something in between the great one from MiniTrekker and mediocre Nature Trekker. Good enough, but not more. There are two handles: one at the top of the pack, and other, identical, on a side, to allow carrying it like a bag. Harness can be covered by an extra cover with zipper - to provide a compact package with no straps dangling around. Personally, for this bag type (again: forget about carrying it onboard a plane) I don\'t find it useful at all, rather adding to the overall design complexity. I bought mine 2nd hand without the Lens Pouch / Accessory Pouch, but I purchased them separately later, really useful (and should be provided when you buy it new).
