Military Ops Alpha camera backpack is one of the best all-around travel backpacks that has been with us for many years and is still one of the coolest camera bags today. It is designed to look less like a camera bag and more like a casual backpack for security purposes. An ordinary looking medium sized backpack with dual compartment. Top compartment is for personal stuff and bottom back side compartment is for camera gear. Velcro divider holds the floor between the upper and lower compartments and may be removed to use the backpack for every day casual uses. The camera compartment is hidden in the back side and is capable of holding a DSLR with with 24-70mm f/2.8 attached, plus 1-2 additional lenses and a flash. Velcro holds the floor of the top compartment in place so it may be removed along with the camera compartment should you wish to use it as a daypack without carrying photographic equipment. It features 2 Velcro front pockets for quick access to accessories, 1 front zippered pocket with internal organizers and mesh pockets, as well as a dedicated padded zippered pocket for iPad size tablet. Inside there is a lined zippered pocket and a media player pocket. It also includes a seam sealed rain cover. The bag is constructed with water resistant CORDURA 500D nylon 3xPU coating, interior pod is covered with 210D rip-stop nylon 2xPU, the best YKK zippers, closed cell foam and the seam sealed rain cover made out of 210 Taffeta 2xPU coating.

I've searched for a new cam bag rather a long time. I used (and still use) an old Lowepro Nova 2. But with the big lenses it is too small and too heavy as a shoulder bag. I tried the Lowepro SlingShot and FastPack, the Tamrac Velocity. But all these bags are too unflexible. I cannot change the interior as a want too. The Pentax K100D is a rather small cam, and so it slips too loose in its compartment. The I saw the Naneu Alpha. I was very sceptic, whether it could carry all my equipment. But it was the right thing, as you can see. It's even possible to access the gear while carrying the bag. You can loose one belt and support the bag with the left hand. With the right hand you can open the zipper and take the lens out.
What works
Very flexible interior, my gear fits exactly, lots of room in the front pouches, possibility to carry a tripod, possibility to access the gear without taking the bag down
Room for improvement
Rather heavy, very sturdy hip belt (should be removable)

This is my new Naneu Pro Alpha One backpack, in the limited desert camo color. The back has 3 large compartments on the front. The very top one features a built in waterproof rain cover that comes with the bag. The second one down is very deep but not too wide. The third one down has 2 pockets, 2 pen holders, and a mesh pocket. The front of the bag has 2 small Velcro pockets. I keep the rain cover and various other odds and ends in the top pocket, such as clean/dry clothes, a water bottle, stuff like that. In the middle pocket I have my less used gear such as my close up filters, USB cable, AA cartridge for the battery grip, spare lens caps. In the bottom pocket I keep my manuals, cleaning supplies, spare CF, spare batteries, flash light, media pass, some masking tape, and spare AA batteries. In the front pockets I keep a pen and paper, business cards, zip ties, and chewing gum. The camera compartment of the bag is hidden in the back section of the backpack. The backpack is VERY padded, and you never feel the weight of your gear, even fully loaded. The shoulder straps are padded as well as the back rest of the bag. There are also hip straps, a cell phone holder on one of the shoulder straps, a tripod strap on the side, and extra loops for hooking lens pouches.
