It's my workhorse bag, I use it most of the time for my aviation trips. The config here is not my usual one, it's more to show how much one can put into it - however, I actually used it like that twice when going abroad with the plane :) The backpack is absolutely brilliant - apart from what you could expect as Lowepro standard, you get a very strong zipper that firmly closes the top even if some items are sticking a bit out of the "usual" depth (I miss that feature in the Nature Trekker). The front pocket is very deep, once I went to the Berlin air show with only the Minitrekker and all of my personal stuff (clothes, toothbrush etc :)) packed there. And, yes, the plane... while "regular size" backpacks like Nature Trekker are made to fulfil the norms for the carry-on luggage, the reality is sometimes less optimistic.. and Mini Trekker is the safe bet.

Great bag, lots of room yet doesnt look it. I had the mini trekker 100, but was too small to fit anything but d50 and 18-70 lens. Got Domke f-2, great bag, tough to fit all my gear though, still a great shoulder bag if i am not carrying all my gear. Then got this, i am happy.

Small outside, big inside. It can house many lenses and accessories. As you can see it easily fit body + grip, backup body, flash and 4-5 lenses (depends on lens size) and many accessories (in flap pockets). Can fit 400D+70-200/2.8L + hood (NOT reversed)!

1.) The "lid" has some zipper pockets included and when in the closed position, the zip handles are supposedly covered by leather protective flaps. These flaps are just too small and the zip handles can still prodrude and scratch the top of the camera body. I intend to superglue some larger leather or suede extensions to the existing flaps to overcome this hazard. 2.) After modifying the innards to accommodate my lenses, I still had 4 velcro partitions left over, so you can rest assured there is plenty of scope for personalising this bag for your own equipment preferences. 3.) I am really pleased to see that this bag incorporates compression straps to ease the strain on the zip fasteners. 4.) Oh, and just a slightly OT comment ... don't forget to use an ultra-violet pen to write your zip code / post code inside the bag ... it may just help the police to return your treasured possessions if they are ever stolen ... It's a very good bag and I love it. it carried all my equipment in tracks in Canda, Holland (even in Wadlopen) and Tanzania. I also use the front compartment for my laptop which fits in nicely.
