It's been my first "real" photo backpack. It serves me well for almost 3 years now. So far I've been able to squeeze every little bit of my equipment there and everytime I buy something new, I'm surprised that I manage to throw in YET another thing ;-). The layout shown on the photo is more like "storage config" than a real-life usage example, but still everything fits perfectly well.
CAPACITY!, quality, flexibility, enormous confiuration options, AW cover, good tripod holder (I use 190Pro+460Mg head). It's virtually indestructible - I've had it in the mud, in the thunderstorm, never any single problem with the stuff inside.
The waist belt could be a bit lower. I've been told that the Photo Trekker is better in this area, because it's longer. The main zipper could be more rigid, like the one in the Mini Trekker AW - it's not like the one here is bad, but it just feels less solid. The external pocket could be deeper, currently one can barely put some A4 documents there - once again, Mini Trekker is much better in this area.
I have been using a couple of bags up until now. I used a Tamrac Velocity 7 (slingbag) for my film camera and a Tamrac Pro 8 System for my Digital camera gear (this bag was initially used with my first setup back in the 90s). I'll be carrying my film setup with me until the AF lenses take over the bag. As you can see, it's already full!! As I buy more things for the 20D, the old camera will migrate back to one of the other bags . I think I'm also going to get a few add ons (or a vest) since this bag doesn't have easy access to things like filters, pens, memory cards, etc... but there are lots of things like that around!
Bought it after could not get all my lenses into Mini Trekker Classic and currently using for about a year. Except for being quite heavy (which I guess is due to its size and adjustable harness) everything else is superb, including build quality & equipment protection. Recently did couple of mountain hikes with almost my entire line-up and Manfrotto 055 Pro tripod attached and it was pleasure to carry. Slip lock system allows attachments of different pouches and cases - I added a bottle bag which turned out to be quite useful. I definitely recommend it.

Having said all that with the camera and a lens attached and carried in hand I've carried the backpack all day on a number of occasions, and not really felt it the strap system is so good.
