Though it doesn't look like a camera bag, the Velocity 7 - Photo Sling Pack is a unique, ultra-functional pack that carries like a backpack, but by swinging it around to the front provides quick access to most digital or film SLRs long zoom lens attached, additional lenses and a flash. The modern sling design comfortably distributes the weight of photo equipment, but the real advantage is that, unlike a traditional photo backpack, it need not be removed to quickly access photo equipment.
The Speed Flap Top and Easy Squeeze quick-release buckles provide security and complete rain coverage to the foam-padded main compartment. Inside, adjustable, foam-padded dividers provide a custom fit for equipment. A Windowpane-Mesh pocket on top holds filters and accessories while the front of the pack has an outer mesh pocket inside to organize film and accessories.
Carrying the sling is effortless with an adjustable, ergonomically designed, foam-padded strap that keeps the pack snug against the body. A Tuck-A-Way waist belt allows the pack to be used comfortably and safely even during vigorous activities such as hiking and biking. Pick up the pack with the convenient EasyGripcarrying handle.

I`m using Tamrac Velocity 7 packed with Sigma EF-500 DG ST Super Flash with Sto-Fen Omni-bounce C attached on side, D70 body Nikon AF 75-300 F/4,5-5,6 quite a long lens) in the middle and kit Nikon AF-S 18-70mm on other side ,there is still space for 50mm lens inside and for lot of stuff in frontbag :) I can pack it with kit lens attached too and telezoom by side (and still room for 50 mm in bottom ;) )
It`s really good bag with LOT of space inside and premium quality.

Unique to this bag is the over the shoulder sling, like a messenger bag. This allows the bag to be swung into position for camera/gear removal and then rotated back out of the way.
There is also a waist belt for holding the bag to your body. Great for hiking.
I have even clipped the 70-200mm VR f/2.8 Nikon lens case to the side of the bag, but it then becomes out of balance, but works in a pinch.

I like the Tamrac bag for an everyday bag when out and about. It is compact but still holds quite a bit. My usual package includes the Nikon D70 w/18-70mm kit lens mounted. The SB-800 flash on one side. My 50mm1.8 in the bottom under a
flap, the manual in the front pouch. Extra filters/battery in the top inside.

My goal was to find the smallest bag possible to hold the 40D and maybe an extra lens/flash. I decided to buy the Velocity 7x, despite no local stores carrying it. I based my decision on the size specs and a few sparse reviews around the web.
After a few weeks using it, I can report that it works, but only barely. Getting the camera in and out is really a two-handed operation.
Your free hand must stretch the bag open at the top to prevent the flash shoe from catching on the fabric. In fact, the thread has started pulling away from the fabric where I wasn`t careful a few times.
With the camera removed, you can almost see how the two “columns” on each side can be used to store other lenses, etc.
The front pocket can hold a good bit of flat stuff. Many CF cards, a GPS device, cables, etc. The bag fits really good over the shoulder and rides high on my back (I`m an average size guy). It`s pretty comfortable.

and 4 NIMH batteries. It also holds the D-60 body but there is not room for the camera to fit on the lens. With all of this in the bag it is STUFFED, no room to
spare.
