The J-2 Slightly smaller than the J-1 (see features below)-(similar in proportion to original F-2). Other features identical.

I purchased the J-2 after my Lowepro Slingshot 200AW became too confining for my kit (The Slingshot's still a great bag for day trips). The pictures show the J-2 will take the the 30D with the 24-70 attached. It will also take the 70-200 f/4 attached. Quick access to the main compartment is possible with the velcro fastener. That means the clips don't have to be secured all the time during use. (but do use them while transporting). There are plenty of pockets and compartments. Overall, great bag!

What works

Plenty of space and pockets, not too big, good protection, seems very durable.

Room for improvement

Shoulder strap will become uncomfortable after a day's use. Needs to have the Domke USPS pad standard.
